I think just going to the store and not paying full price for the products is a win win, it is also a blessing to save and be able to have enough food and other products that your family and house needs. I don't watch the program, I did it once and I think is not true at all. I do save paying with coupons, sometimes 30, 40 even 50%, and to me this is great just because I am saving for my family and we can get all we need with less money specially in this tough times. Thank you for your comments in the article, hope others will understand how coupons works, to me coupons are a discount/gift from the manufactures and we need to keep it this way to not loose it…Again hope everyone will understand and the show will take better understanding and stop showing what is not true in a tv show and educate "right" and 'correct" the viewers.

I was slightly concerned when I saw that there is a penny under the coupon amount for every 2 you buy, but I've done this deal twice using 6 coupons each time & didnt have any problems whatsoever. They have to adjust down the second coupon down by 1 cents which was done with no headaches & complete niceness. I may have to start shopping Walgreens again.

You have the inserts mixed up…the first set of coupons are the red plum coupons and the second set should be the smart source coupons.

Yes, it has been reported that this particular coupon does not double when scanned. However, it also does not state “DND” either. So I guess it will be a YMMV and will be up to each store whether or not they want to manually double it. People are also stating that the new barcodes are beeping at Walgreens too. So, I don’t think it’s case of whether or not it should double, I think it’s a case of the computers not being updated enough to properly read the new barcodes. It may be the case though that if the coupon states DND that the new barcode will prevent it from doing so, but I’ve had no confirmation on that either so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Has anyone heard that their Giant Eagle is no longer going to double internet coupons? Last week mine (East Liverpool, OH) had a sign up that said "due to our corporate coupon policy, Giant Eagle will no longer double internet coupons." That has definitely cut down on my Giant Eagle shopping already.

The $0.55 Post Fruity Pebbles coupon didn't double at my Giant Eagle when I used it last week. I asked the manager about it since it was the only coupon that didn't but neither of us knew anything since it has the new barcode on it without the 5 or the 9. Does anybody know which ones double or does it go by whether or not the coupon says Do Not Double now?

Not sure if anyone else ran into this or not…..but the $0.55 off 1 Post Fruity Pebbles cereal coupon is NOT doubling. It has the new data barcode on it without the old one so no way to tell if it is a "5" or a "9" but it also does NOT state that it cannot be doubled….so my store doubled it…but I may have just had a coupon friendly cashier….just a heads up to everyone!

The Garnier 3 for $10 with $5 RR is NOT going off of shelf price. I was overcharged for one of my bottles and didn't get the RR. The tags on the shelf were all messed up. They were placed on the large bottles. This is the 2nd week in a row that I got handled by Walgreens. I am done with that store.
